Captain Peter Murray - Seaworthy Skipper

Captain Peter Murray is a seaworthy skipper who has been around boats, water and diving nearly his entire life. Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Peter as a young man ran dive charters to the many wrecks found within the Great Lakes waters. Peters passion and interest for what he was doing soon lead him to the Florida Keys where he was a dive instructor and Captained a number of dive charter boats. While in the Keys, Peter secured ownership in the Southern Cross, knowing that he was taking another step closer to securing his dream. The same southern trade winds that brought Peter to the Keys soon transported him to the Bahamas where he now calls home.

His love for what he does is an accumulation of a lifetime of experiences. Whether faith, destiny, passion or just hard work and perseverance lead Peter Murray to becoming Captain of the Southern Cross, it’s a title and occupation that is perfectly suited for him. It’s his love for what he does and his knowledge of the world around him that makes guests traveling on the Southern Cross feel as though they are in good hands and are open to the new experiences of the Caribbean.

Crew

The first mate aboard the Southerncross is a black haired beauty named Casey. A native of Nassau, this young and beautiful creature brings her local flare and knowledge of this beautiful place she calls home to everyone she meets. All guest and friends are greeted in the native Bahamian way all potcakes greet their closests friends... like family. With a friendly hug a big sloppy kiss and a excited wag of her tail, Casey, greets the guests as you board the Southerncross. Yes, Casey is a 35 lbs Potcake (a local dog nickname) a mellow tempered dog that loves long walks on the beach, swimming, chasing birds, digging up small crabs and hunting for fish (which of course she never catches)

she a must on any trip to the Bahamas and of course a great companion.
